Debbie and Simon Rutherford are the husband and wife team behind Rutherfords, the first micropub in Scotland, which opened in the Summer of 2015 and went on to win CAMRA's Best Pub in the Borders in 2018.
The tiny pub has become known for it's fabulous range of unusual drinks as well as its' quirkiness. Never short of ideas, Rutherfords recently won Scotland's Business Innovation award to add to their collection. It wasn't long before Simon and Debbie hit on another innovative idea.... DeliQuescent!
“We love to experiment with flavours, and the DeliQuescent range will give us a great base for some new cocktail ideas too” said Simon.
The flavours will change according to the seasons , and we'll constantly be coming up with new ideas for our customers to try."

Debbie and Simon Rutherford of Rutherfords Micropub cerbrated at the grand final in Glasgow. The bar, opened in 2015, remains Scotland’s only micropub selling cask ales. And late last year it added another feather to its cap with the launch of specialist microbatch spirits, DeliQuescent. Gin range highlights include rhubarb and elderflower, cherry bakewell gin liqueuer, and even a parma violet shimmering gin.
